Orange has become my favorite color! There is a strategy in ministry that is called Orange. Briefly, it takes the light of the church (yellow) and the love of the family (red) and brings them together to make orange.
In January 2005, I attended a conference held by Awana about children’s ministry. All through that conference I sat there saying “YES” I’ve been saying that for years! The problem with the conference…. it was a vision conference and there was no substantive plan to implement, just an idea, a vision.
Since that time, I’ve looked and watched as others talked, but struggled implementing it. At Hanover Fellowship, we have always emphasized strong families, but I believe that there is more we can do and in the next few days, and posts, I will share some of that and begin to share what is planned for the summer.
So for now, when you see the orange wristbands, let it be a reminder that I want to bring the church and family together to disciple the children to know, love and serve Jesus. Please be a part, and allow us to partner with you.
