Palm Sunday, the day we remember Jesus entering Jerusalem and how the people reacted. Verse 8 reads, “A very large crowd spread their clothes on the road; others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.”
Many people laid their garments on the road as a sign of submission. But not everyone understood what was happening. Verses 10 & 11 read, “When he [Jesus] entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in an uproar, saying, ‘Who is this?’ The crowds were saying, ‘This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.'”
Even today, not everyone knows about Jesus. There are people asking “Who is this?” when we talk about Jesus.
The question to consider is, how will you receive Jesus? Will He be your King, or will you wonder who He is?
Discussion Questions:
- Do you know who Jesus is? Have them explain their understanding of Jesus and how He impacts their life.
- Who do you know that does not know Jesus?
- How would you answer them if when you talked about Jesus, your friend asked, Who is this?
End in prayer asking God to help us receive Him for who He is and to help us explain who He is to others who may not know.
