Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is also full of light. But when it is bad, your body is also full of darkness
About 130 years ago there was an invention that transformed the world as we now know it. That invention was the light bulb. It allowed people to see in the dark. Yes there were candles and oil lamps which would burn out, but this new light would stay lit as long as there was electricity.
The misconception is that darkness is the opposite of light when in reality it is the absence of light. Where there is light, there is no darkness. Light overcomes darkness, darkness cannot overcome light.
We live in a dark world of sin. People who do not acknowledge the One True God. The Bible says much about light in a spiritual sense. Let’s look at a few passages:
Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.
John 8:12 – Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”
In these verse we see that the Word of God and Jesus are the true light. When we focus on the tings of God, then our eye is healthy and our body is full of light, and truth. We are able to make wise decisions that are pleasing to God. But e must be careful because Scripture also warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:13 & 14 that there will be “false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
As parents, you must be diligent in watching for Satan disguising himself as an angel of light. This can come through people, movies, video games, books, etc. This is how we allow either darkness or light to enter our bodies. We need to teach our children how to discern good and evil through the Spirit, and this we can only do if we are walking in the Light ourselves.

End in prayer asking God to help transform you through the Holy Spirit, watching our screen time and what we view and what we look at as we go through our days.
Note: We must decide what movies, games, etc are appropriate to view. What I deem inappropriate you may have differing views and vice versa. We must seek the Holy Spirit and ask God for wisdom in all matters.
