Volunteer – Serve
Do you have a desire to serve in HFC Kids? I have listed various opportunities to serve below. You must be a member of Hanover Fellowship for at least six (6) months and submit to a state mandated background check. Training will be provided for all roles.
As you review the areas below, if you have any questions, please contact Pastor Bill.
Awana
Media – This individual will run the audio-visual aspect of the Awana night for Sparks and T&T. They will run the videos, count-downs, etc before the club night and then during the large group times, they will run the media as necessary to enhance the large group time lesson.
Administration – Check the clubbers in and make sure they safely return to their parents. Maintain records (handbook progress, attendance, etc) via a computer based record keeping program. Monitor inventory.
Listeners – You will only participate during handbook time to listen to the children complete their sections. This is a very rewarding role as you see the children come eager to recite God’s Word. Handbook (or small group time) is where we use the most volunteers during Awana.
Leaders – Leaders participate in all areas of the Awana evening. We are always seeking leaders for all of our Awana clubs.
Game Guy/Gal – Are you creative? Do you enjoy playing games? Being a “game guy” might be a great fit for you.
Large Group Time Lesson – Do you have a story to share? Do you like being in skits, leading songs, or things like that? Large Group time is where the general lesson is presented for the night. This can be a one-time activity, weekly, or on a rotating basis.
KidzChurch
Both the preschool and elementary KidzChurch programs generally use a DVD based lesson. In the preschool group, the DVD is complimented with a review and activities to re-enforce the lesson.
In the elementary KidzChurch, we have people who lead songs, introduce the lesson and wrap it up. Then we break up into K-2 and 3-6 grades to re-enforce the lesson in activities geared to those age groups.
Nursery
It is more than just watching infants, it is laying a foundation for these children. See my article about Nursery, answering the question, Nursery is it really a Ministry?
Misc Activities
Keep checking as opportunities to serve are endless!
Thank you for your interest.
