We don’t want to keep what is taught in KidzChurch in church, we want you to take it out, so each week we’ll post what we discussed in KidzChurch so you can take it out and use it during the week.

In elementary KidzChurch, we discussed how when Jesus first called Peter, he was fishing and Jesus told him to cast the net into the water and they had a great catch of fish (Luke 5:1-11). After Jesus’ death and resurrection, after Peter had been fishing all night – catching nothing, Jesus told him again to cast the net and they had another great catch of fish (John 21:1-14).

Jesus was calling Peter to reach other people for Him and that was the message and “mission” for the children this week. They were asked to think of someone they know that does not know Jesus and to pray for them and tell them about Jesus.

I want to encourage you to review the lesson with your child, the M.A.P. booklet given to them as they left should help, then help your child think of someone they know who does not trust Jesus and have your child pray for them that may come to know Jesus. If your child has not yet professed a faith in Jesus, let me join you in praying that they will come to understand and trust Jesus themselves.
