As I play Minecraft PE on my mobile devices, I found myself traveling far from the things I have built. There are times that I find it difficult to find my way back. It was so bad that I began to build very tall towers at different places to try to help me find my way “home”.
While they helped some, it was not effective because as I got to the towers, I wasn’t sure which way to go from there. I was lost.
Once I found my way back “home”, I tried another way to help me know where I was going. I began to build pathways. The paths connected building to building, and town to town. I now had a clear method to know where I was going. As long as I stayed on the path I would be okay, and if for some reason I strayed from the path, I only needed to find the path and I could get back “home”.
That’s what God has done for us. He has prepared a path for us that we need to follow. When we stray from the path, things usually go bad and it can be difficult to find our way “home”. The path can be hard to follow.
But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it.
Matthew 7:14 (CEV)
We need to follow Jesus. He told us that He is he Way (John 14:6). Follow Jesus, do your best to stay on the path, and when you leave the path, look to Jesus, find the path, and find your way “home”.
