I am very pleased with the first day of VBS 🙂
We had 20 children attend the first night. The missions offering is going to go to David & Karen Porter as they minister in Honduras with World Gospel Outreach. Again this year, we are having an incentive for the offering. If the boys give the most, then each of the boys will have a small whipped cream pie to place in Ms. Peg’s face. If the girls give the most, then each of the young ladies will receive a whipped cream pie to put in Pastor Bill’s face. This will be done Friday night as we dismiss for the week.
The children were challenged to bring friends and if they bring a friend, then they will receive a can of silly string and each of their friends will receive a can of silly string that they can use to silly string Pastor Bill. I think I have plenty of silly string, but we’ll see. It will be great if I run out of silly string!
