In the first Minecraft lesson, I talked about how God created the heavens and the earth. God also created man and placed him in this world. Man was alone except to talk to God. God realized that this was not good for man.
In Minecraft, you are alone in the world. You do not begin with a partner. You can network and have multi-players, but in the beginning, you are alone.
In Genesis chapter 2 we read that:
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. ….
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
As you walk around the world created in Minecraft, it can be lonely. It is good to have a partner, a helpmate. God saw that and from Adam, God created Eve. Man was no longer alone, he had a helpmate.
Even in Ecclesiastes 4:9 we see that, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.”
God did not intend for us to be alone. Not only does He want a relationship with us, He knows that we need to have people around us to help us, to support us, so we will not be alone.
It is important that as we select our friends, that they will encourage us, be a helper for us. Proverbs 27:17 tells us that “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” You’re friends have an influence on your life. They should sharpen you, not make you better.
Don’t live in a world alone, or surround yourself with creepers.
